It is important to remember that many items of antique furniture has been restored or has been fixed, this shouldn't put you off because you will find that a huge number of items have had work on them because they have been around for such a long time. The advantage of restored furniture is that if it is done will then you will barely notice and repairs and on top of this the price will be much better than a non restored perfect item.

So buying furniture second hand is well worth it if you can find a well restored item that has some value in it for years to come.
