The Artistry Of Interior Design

By Aiza Reeves

Exploring the field of interior design is filled with surprises. The most common surprise is perhaps the notion that this area of specialisation is being questioned if it's a true art form or not. How do scholars and professionals argue over the dispute of home designing? It's simple. All they really have to do is based their argument on long philosophical debates regarding interior design's inclusion as a revered art form.

Over the centuries, art has evolved. The paintings during the days of ancient Egypt are quite a bit different from the masterpieces during the Renaissance period. In fact, many people even today use pieces inspired by ancient style to decorate their home spaces. As the art of painting has evolved, so too has the art of interior decorating. Those ancient Egyptians had very different houses from our own. In fact, ancient decorative pieces can be deemed garish by today's visual standards.

Realising the art of Interior design is not difficult. If most individuals paid attention to the details of blending colours and textures to birth home spaces that create an impact, they would realise the visual artistry that interior design requires. Throughout the years, interior design hasn't failed to evolve with outstanding beauty.

In the early ages of interior design, a work of art is judged on its own merits. Design is judged without the rest of the pack's mentality encroaching on personal opinion.

In today's modern world, art and design define a collective idea. Evolving significantly over the years, interior design only requires elements that structure the universe of beauty. Even the churning collective opinion reveals the good behind lovely designs.
